As the buzz continues from last night’s electrifying performance by the Hollywood Vampires, the first of their national tour, Central New York’s premier destination resort announces an exciting summer of casino tournaments, cash and prize giveaways, nationally-televised sporting events, the opening of outdoor dining and nightlife venues and Exit 33’s annual Memorial Day Weekend celebration, Red, White & Brew Bar Crawl.
Still reeling from last night’s electrifying, sold-out performance by Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper and Joe Perry of the Hollywood Vampires, Turning Stone announces a summer lineup of exciting, don’t-want-to-miss events, including Memorial Day celebrations, casino tournaments with hundred thousand dollar prizes, nationally-televised sporting events, the opening of outdoor dining and nightlife venues and more.
With this weekend’s official kick-off to summer, Turning Stone will celebrate Memorial Day with the opening of two outdoor dining and nightlife locations: TS Steakhouse Terrace and the Crescent Courtyard Bar and Lounge. The award-winning resort casino will also host holiday themed cash and prize giveaways on the gaming floor and Exit 33’s annual Red, White & Brew Bar Crawl.
Later this summer in June, Turning Stone will once again shine a national spotlight on Central New York with two nationally-televised sporting events: SHOWTIME Championship Boxing on Saturday, June 11 and the PGA Professional Championship on the Golf Channel June 26-29.
Outdoor Dining & Nightlife Venues
With beautiful flowers and picturesque landscapes, Turning Stone’s TS Steakhouse Terrace, the outdoor seating area of the award-winning penthouse restaurant, offers guests stunning countryside views and a unique and elegant dining experience with perfectly prepared steaks, seafood and more.
On Thursday, May 26, Crescent Courtyard, the outdoor bar and lounge in Exit 33’s courtyard, will open for the season with a new margarita menu and chips and salsa. Crescent Courtyard is open Thursdays from 5-9pm and Friday and Saturdays from 7pm – 2am.
Guests can also enjoy outdoor dining at both Shenendoah Clubhouses and Atunyote Clubhouse for selection of summer salads, sandwiches and more on the sunny patio and veranda (indoor dining is also available). Wildflowers restaurant at The Lodge also offers elegant outdoor seating, overlooking the Great Lawn.
Casino Tournaments, Gaming Promotions, Giveaways and More
Casino guests have a lot to be excited about this summer on the gaming floor at Turning Stone. The Poker Room will host the Memorial Day Weekend Cash Giveaway on Sunday, May 29 and Monday, May 30 where guests can win their share of $10,000 and $5,000 respectively with $500 random seat draws and $200 high-hand prizes both days. Additionally, the All-American Summer Truck Giveaway will have its first of three drawings Memorial Day Weekend. First place winner receives a brand new red 2016 Ford F-150 crew cab truck; second place receives $5,000 cash; and third through sixth place receive $1,000. Drawing will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 29; qualified guests must register their entries between 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
And throughout June, The Poker Room at Turning Stone will also host the Summer Poker Classic Tournament with a $75,000 guarantee prize pool. Qualifying events will be held at 9:00 p.m. June 3 – 5, June 10 – 12 and June 17 – 19 with the main event June 24 – 26.
Red, White & Brew Bar Crawl
The annual Memorial Day Weekend Bar Crawl at Turning Stone’s Exit 33 is bigger than ever this year – literally. New this year, giant Jenga, Twister and Garbage Can Pong will be assembled in the Exit 33 Atrium for an exciting twist on a traditional Memorial Day barbeque. Guests will also receive a commemorative tank top, line jumping and VIP access to all four of Exit 33’s venues (LAVA Nightclub, Tin Rooster, Turquoise Tiger and The Gig). Guests can also enjoy a dozen clams for $6, $2 PBRs and a variety of cocktail specials. Nationally-Televised Events
Turning Stone will once again shine a national spotlight on Central New York with two nationally-televised sporting events: SHOWTIME Championship Boxing on Saturday, June 11 and the PGA Professional Championship on the Golf Channel June 26-29.
Boxing fans are celebrating former world champion Ruslan Provodnikov’s return to Turning Stone on Saturday, June 11, after his fight-of-the-year nominated battle against Lucas Mattyhesse last April. Provodnikov will make his debut on SHOWTIME Championship Boxing in a 12-round war against John Molina, Jr. Also on the stacked card, Willie Monroe, Jr., a local favorite from Rochester, will kick off the televised fights on SHOWTIME Extreme, as he takes on John Thompson.
Later in June, golf fans will experience the 49th annual PGA Professional Championship on the Golf Channel, live from Turning Stone’s Atunyote and Kaluhyat award-winning courses. From June 26 – 29, 312 of the country’s top golf professionals will compete for a spot in the 2016 PGA Championship at Balturol Golf Club in Springfield, NJ, where Jason Day will defend his 2015 title.
