Team-Building Activities
Build their appetites for something bigger
Whether you're looking for corporate team-building activities or ideas to get your team's creativity flowing, our meeting specialists have curated a collection of ideas from food pairings to friendly competitions. Here are a couple of our most popular. Find a full list of culinary team building activities.
Hands-On Cooking Classes
One of our most requested group activities for team building is our BBQ class led by Chef John Stotts, pitmaster at the Tin Rooster Dancehall & BBQ. Participants first get to peek inside one of our three smokers. Then, while the meat is smoking low and slow, this Stetson-clad chef will show them how to create the perfect side dish. All hands-on cooking classes include cooking supplies, recipes and samples, with participants getting to cook their own dish.
Food & Drink Pairings
Food pairings aren't just about wine and cheese. Treat your team to fun explorations of tacos and tequila pairings, or beef and bourbon. Or maybe even something whimsical like sliders and beers. But there's a serious side to it all. These popular group activities offer engaging, memorable ways to demonstrate the values of excellence.
Meats for our charcuterie and wine pairings are flown in from Spain and Italy. Specialty cheeses are also thoughtfully curated. We also work directly with the purveyors to bring in bourbons, wines and tequila sure to perfectly pair with our chefs' selections. Advance notice is required so that we can hand-select each item customized for your event. Includes attended stations, sampling and guided pairings.
Indoor Golf + Other Activities
From cooking demonstrations to indoor golf, find team building ideas for your CNY meetings
You may already know Turning Stone for our three championship golf courses, but those gorgeous greens are only the beginning.
Our award-winning Golf Dome and Sportsplex is a year-round indoor facility with a 17,000 square foot short game area unrivaled in the country, perfect for winter team-building excursions. With an 8:1 participant to PGA Golf instructor ratio, you'll find activities are designed to help your team up their game on the fairway and beyond.
Other popular team-building golf experiences include our Alternate Shot Putting Contest. Two-person teams compete against each other in a 9- or 18-hole contest, with each player hitting alternated puts until the ball is holed out - a fun strategy exercise. Or try Skee Ball, an Amusement Park classic. Hit eight golf shots to numbered targets, with the highest total score winning.
