What to do before a show at Turning Stone
Get Your Pre-Show Party Started at Turning Stone
A live show at Turning Stone is incredible, but the fun starts way before the music does! Here's how to make the most of your night at New York's top resort:
Beat the Rush: When to Arrive
The Event Center at Turning Stone seats up to 5,000 people, with doors opening two hours before the show starts. Doors to The Showroom open an hour before showtime. For either venue, arrive at least 90 minutes to two hours before the show starts (60-90 minutes for The Showroom) and you not only beat the crowd but have time to enjoy a drink, get some great photos and get in on some pre-show gaming and entertainment.
Keep in mind that some of this time is needed for the security checkpoint and ticketing, so it’s a good idea to think of 90 minutes as the minimum (60 minutes for The Showroom). Arrive even earlier and you’ll also have a faster time parking and leave plenty of time to grab a bite, a glass of wine or a craft cocktail at one of CNY’s best lounges.
Hungry? Your Pre-Show Feast Awaits
The Showroom and Event Center offer snacks, but we have 20+ restaurants to tempt you! Find 20+ restaurants on property, from fast casual fare to Forbes Four-Star dining. The Upstate Tavern, 7 Kitchens Buffet, Tower Lounge and TS Steakhouse – located on the 21st floor of The Tower with sweeping views and an outdoor patio – are all near The Event Center and The Showroom.
Immediately next door, accessible by a covered walkway or along a flower-lined path with a brook running alongside it, you’ll find one of Central New York’s most acclaimed fine dining restaurants, Wildflowers. With its chef’s seasonal menus, expert wine pairings and innovative cuisine, this Forbes Four-Star and AAA Four Diamond restaurant sets the standard for both atmosphere and culinary excellence.
But really all the restaurants, lounges and nightclubs at Turning Stone are, well, just a stone’s throw away. Round the hall just past The Tower lobby or walk directly across the main casino floor and you’ll find everything from traditional Asian to award-winning sushi, slow-smoked BBQ to authentic Italian. Our newest addition, NY Rec & Social Club, is open nightly and is a popular sports book, arcade and gastropub (must be 18 or older). Some restaurants recommend reservations, so if you have your heart set on a particular place, be sure to plan ahead.
Feelin' Lucky? Hit the Casino Before the Show
Want some Vegas-style action? We have 2000+ slots and tons of table games – that's why we're New York's #1 gaming resort! Even seasoned pros will find something new. And don't forget the awesome Poker Room!
Pre-Show Tip: If you haven’t already, sign up for the TS Rewards Program. You’ll not only earn points while gaming, you can also earn points on concert tickets, dining and more.
Navigating the Resort: It's a Breeze
Ticketing and entry for The Event Center is on the first floor of the Conference Center. Casino VIPs, Oneida Indian Nation Members who have their red ID badges and those with accessible seats and limited mobility can enter via an Express Lane in the Rotunda near The Upstate Tavern 90 minutes before all performances.
For The Showroom, ticketing and entry is conveniently located right off the gaming floor.
