Michael "Jinx" Spinks
Spinks captured middleweight gold at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games. As a pro, he won the WBA and WBC light heavyweight titles before becoming the first light heavyweight champion to win the heavyweight title when he defeated Larry Holmes (W 15) for the IBF belt in 1985. Spinks retired in 1988 with a pro record of 31-1 (21 KOs) that includes wins over Yaqui Lopez, Marvin Johnson, Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Gerry Cooney and Dwight Qawi. In 1994, Spinks was elected into the Hall of Fame.
Christy Martin "The Coal Miner's Daughter"
Martin turned pro in 1989 and her skill and all-action style made her the face of women's boxing and landed her on the cover of Sports Illustrated. During her career, the 5'4 ½" Martin won the WBC super welterweight championship in 2009 and compiled a 49-7-3 (31 KOs) pro record that includes wins over Dierdre Gogarty, Andrea DeShong, Isra Girgrah, Kathy Collins, Mia St. John and Dakota Stone. The CEO of Christy Martin Promotions, she was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2020. Martin is the subject of an upcoming biopic starring Sydney Sweeney.
James "Buddy" McGirt
McGirt turned pro in 1982 and won world titles at junior welterweight (IBF 1988) and welterweight (WBC 1991-93). He scored wins over Frankie Warren, Howard Davis Jr., Simon Brown and Livingstone Bramble before retiring in 1997 with a record of 73-6-1 (48 KOs). Now one of boxing's top trainers, he has guided Antonio Tarver, Vernon Forrest, Paulie Malignaggi and Hall of Famer Arturo Gatti among others. In 2020, McGirt was elected into the Hall of Fame.
Kelly "The Ghost" Pavlik
The fighting pride of Youngstown, OH, Pavlik compiled an 89-9 amateur record before turning professional in 2000. He defeated Jermain Taylor (TKO 7) for the WBC/WBO middleweight championship in 2007 and reigned until 2010. During his career he scored victories over Edison Miranda, Marco Antonio Rubio, Bronco McKart and Fulgencio Zuniga among others while compiling a 40-2 (34 KOs) record. "The Ghost" was named "Fighter of the Year" in 2007 by Sports Illustrated.
