Thanksgiving is upon us, and the holiday season is in full effect at Turning Stone Resort Casino.

Around the property, this means decorations are starting to go up—as we put together this issue of Destination Turning Stone, crews were putting finishing touches on Christmas trees and festive décor around the entire resort.

In The Commons, near the TS Rewards Desk, teams were wrapping up our annual Gingerbread Village, which this year is sure to be one-of-a-kind. (We’ll share more about that in the next issue.)

Elsewhere around The Commons, some of our retail outlets are gearing up for what they expect to be a busy and exciting shopping season. According to Retail Manager Becky Thomas, foot-traffic through stores such as Mr. Shop, Polly Cooper, Revel Supply, Juniper, and Willow & Jaye already has picked up. She noted that as we get closer to Black Friday and Christmas, excitement will only intensify.

“We’re gearing up for what we expect to be a very big year,” Becky said. “People laid low last year. This year, they’re coming back in full force.”

Becky noted most of the shops will sell special decorative and seasonal candles to commemorate the holidays. Many of the shops sold similarly festive candles back in 2019 and they were a huge hit among guests.

Another item that’s sure to be popular this year: Sassy dress socks from Blue Q, available at Mr. Shop.

Finally, Revel Supply is a great spot to stock up on Turning Stone-branded merchandise. At last check, the store was stocking dozens of different hoody options—some with zippers, some the kind you pull over your head. Considering how cold it can get during winter in Upstate New York, these warm and cozy sweatshirts are a great gift idea for everyone on your list.
