The World Series of Poker ® (WSOP) is coming to Turning Stone Resort Casino with a series of satellite tournaments, a local Main Event, and a springtime circuit event—all of which kick off this month.

These games represent the first time the WSOP will host official contests in New York State. The tournaments are part of a new partnership between Turning Stone and the international poker brand.

The calendar culminates with an official WSOP Circuit Event in March 2022.

Considering all the prizes and prize money at stake, guests can buy in for $175 and win a $10,000 seat to the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas in fall of 2022.

“We are delighted to be the first-ever World Series of Poker satellite site in New York State,” said Ray Halbritter, Oneida Indian Nation Representative. “This partnership is an example of our commitment to bring the best opportunities to our guests and our community as a whole.”

The Turning Stone Poker Room kicked-off its new WSOP events on November 1 with the first of 27 satellite tournaments. These events will run every Sunday to Wednesday until Dec. 15. All satellite winners will receive $1,400 seats for a Local Main Event game to be held at Turning Stone in the first half of 2022.

Dates for the WSOP Local Main Event games at Turning Stone are January 2, March 6, and May 1—all Sundays. One out of every 10 players at these events will receive a $10,000 seat to the World Series of Poker Main Event in Las Vegas in November 2022, as well as $3,000 in travel money.

In addition to hosting the satellite events and Local Main Event, Turning Stone Resort Casino also will be home to an official WSOP Circuit Event on March 17-28, 2022. This event will be held in the Turning Stone Event Center and will provide winners with direct entry into the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas, meaning there will be even more opportunities for Upstate New York poker players to punch their tickets west.
