Thanksgiving, Turning Stone Style
Everyone is family when they come to enjoy turkey, stuffing, and all the fixings of Thanksgiving dinner at Turning Stone Resort Casino.
The four-course dinner, held this year on November 24 from 12-6 pm in the Oneida Room at the Conference Center, is likely a lot like the Thanksgiving meals in many families. Perhaps the biggest differences: Live entertainment, and that guests will be celebrating with some new friends.
The meal kicks off what is sure to be a fun and exciting holiday season at Turning Stone.
“Thanksgiving is a special experience, and we aim to make it the kind of thing our guests will never forget,” said Miles Lederer, Associate Director of Restaurant and Banquet Operations, and the man in charge of making sure this year’s Thanksgiving feast goes off smoothly. “This is one of the events we all look forward to every year.”
This year’s Thanksgiving dinner features delicious dishes and goodies made by Turning Stone’s award-winning culinary staff. The prices: $48 for adults and $24 for kids ages 6-15. Kids 5 and under are free.
The meal itself will be exquisite. To start, each guest will receive a plate of domestic cheese and charcuterie, burrata ravioli served with tomato vodka sauce, and autumn salad composed of romaine lettuce, endive, radicchio, watermelon radish, purple carrots, and red wine vinaigrette.
Each guest will then have the choice of one entrée. Options include traditional turkey dinner with turkey, stuffing, French beans, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, house-made cranberry sauce, and gravy; beef short ribs with carrots, onion, French beans, mashed potatoes, and horseradish gremolata; and autumn Ratatouille with squash, Yukon potato, seared chanterelle mushrooms, and more.
Dessert options include seasonal pies, handmade ice cream, brownies, and cheesecake, to name a few.
While walk-ups for this delicious meal are welcome, reservations are highly recommended. Oh, and what’s more: there will be fun activities for families with kids too.
Miles noted that the event regularly attracts parties of 10 or more—people who just take their Thanksgiving traditions and end up carrying out those traditions with us.
“This really brings people together,” he said. “That’s what Thanksgiving is all about.”
