This month, Turning Stone Resort Casino will be celebrating seriously big-time poker events that will keep chips moving and energy flowing all month long, and give players a chance to win a seat to the WSOP “Tournament of Champions” in Las Vegas.

Our poker action falls into three basic categories: 

• World Series of Poker satellite tournaments
• WSOP Circuit Event, a major 12-day tournament (see second story below)
• Turning Stone’s weekly poker cash games in our 32-table poker room. Since we have cash games running all the time, it’s a great landing spot for players once they wrap up the others.

“It’s all poker, all the time in March,” said Frank Foti, Director of Poker. “There’s always a lot of live and tournament poker action going on at Turning Stone, but this month will be absolutely non-stop.”

The WSOP Satellite events are held daily until March 16 with buy-ins ranging from $100 to $250, enabling players to win their way into our third and final Turning Stone Main Event on Sunday, May 1. 

At our WSOP Main Event, in addition to winning some cash, 1 out of every 10 players also wins a $10,000 seat to the WSOP Tournament in Las Vegas and $3,000 traveling money.  So far, we have given away 12 seats to our guests to compete in the WSOP Tournament in  Las Vegas - and we expect at least another 3 - 5 more guests to join them after our May 1st event.

Then, of course, there are the cash games, which are going all the time.

Our cash games stay busy because players who are vying for WSOP hook-ups want to keep at it after they bust out of the tournament-style play. We also have a steady stream of non-tournament guests playing various levels of Texas Hold-‘Em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Omaha Hi-Lo.

Frank added that with all the poker action across the property—including the Circuit events themselves—players should experience a poker vibe all over the resort.

“We expect it to be extremely busy and exciting,” he said. “Honestly, I can’t wait.”
