Another year, another epic showing by Turning Stone Resort Casino in Casino Player Magazine’s 2022 “Best of Dining” awards.

This year Turning Stone won a record-breaking 12 awards for various aspects of our culinary program—more than any other casino in the region. In addition to winning an award for No. 1 Best Overall Dining in New York, our food and beverage outlets also won accolades in the following categories:

• Best New Restaurant (The Food Hall)
• Best Steakhouse (TS Steakhouse)
• Best Sushi (Sushi Sushi)
• Best Breakfast (Emerald)
• Best Coffee Shop (Opals)
• Best View (TS Steakhouse)
• Best Romantic Restaurant (TS Steakhouse)
• Best Outdoor Dining (Wildflowers)
• Best Sports Bar (The Lounge with Caesars Sports)
• Best Happy Hour (Upstate Tavern)
• Best Craft Beer Selection (Upstate Tavern)

This cavalcade of recognition is a big deal, especially coming out of two years of reduced operations due to the Covid pandemic. Perhaps the most rewarding aspect of these accolades is that Casino Player Magazine’s “Best of Dining” award winners are hand-selected by casino visitors who evaluate their favorite gaming properties from across the country.

Oneida Indian Nation Representative and Oneida Nation Enterprises CEO Ray Halbritter said he was delighted to win these latest awards.

“We have been deliberate in developing a unique, world-class dining experience guests cannot find anywhere else,” said Mr. Halbritter. “Whether enjoying one of our fine-dining restaurants, grabbing a small bite at a quick service counter, or anything in between, the attention we place on providing unparalleled guest service in beautifully designed spaces truly sets us apart.”

The latest recognition for our culinary excellence comes less than one month after the opening of our new buffet, 7 Kitchens. We expect that restaurant will be on the list of award-winners next year.

In the meantime, officials at Casino Player Magazine said they were “impressed” with Turning Stone’s continued success—particularly in the areas of food and beverage. Publisher Lisa Robertson-Dziedzic said Turning Stone consistently has garnered the greatest number of awards in the New York region since 2017.

“It’s no secret people love to dine out and our readers love Turning Stone Resort Casino,” she said. “This year they have 12 awards, a best for Turning Stone. The dedication to their guests and their desire to create an exceptional experience has not gone unnoticed by anyone. Now that’s something to celebrate.”
