Bringing Live Music to Life
Visiting Turning Stone Resort Casino has become music to guests’ ears.
In recent months, the vibe around the resort has gone from rocking to rolling, thanks in part to a spate of new bands and performers who have helped make our property the hottest spot in all Upstate New York.
All told, we’ve welcomed more than two dozen new bands and performers over the last few weeks. These musicians are now performing on eight different stages across the resort and Oneida family.
Some of these stages include open-air patios at Turning Stone, and the stages inside Exit 33.
The push to broaden our musical horizons was intentional; after years of bringing in the same bands, we wanted to diversify our offerings and give guests new tunes from new bands across the region. Of course, those performers who come in to play our Showroom and Event Center already have the cache (and fan base) to sustain themselves for a while.
“The diversity and talent that is performing every week around the resort is unparalleled,” said Griffin Smith, talent buyer for Oneida Nation Enterprises. “This might be the best and most varied lineup we’ve ever had.”
The diversity of music isn’t confined to Turning Stone in Verona; lineups have expanded and become more eclectic at YBR Casino & Sports Book in Chittenango and Point Place Casino in Bridgeport, too.
We like to think of it as the Summer of Sound.
This variety is set to continue throughout the summer—both with big names in our biggest venues and smaller names on some of our smaller stages.
Here at Turning Stone, we’ll welcome Rick Springfield in the Event Center June 24; Forever Seger—the Silver Bullet Experience in the Showroom July 3; ventriloquist Jeff Dunham in the Event Center July 8; and Colin Quinn in the showroom August 4. Tickets were still available for most shows. We’ll see you there.
