Sweet Tooths, reunite! That’s the rallying cry for the summer at Turning Stone Resort Casino, as the pastry team has put together some mind-bendingly cool recipes for boozy milkshakes at Upstate Tavern.

The shakes, which hit menus in June, are a perfect way to celebrate the sweetness of life.

“We are building beautiful, over-the-top shakes around flavors that just about everybody loves,” said Pastry Chef Lorena Ortega. “When it’s hot and humid and you’ve been moving around a while, nothing cools you down like a milkshake.”

All told, there are four new shakes for the summer: S’mores, Grasshopper, Strawberry Shortcake, and Carnival.

Our S’mores shake comprises campfire s’mores ice cream, marshmallow vodka, Four Sons toasted coconut whiskey, graham crackers, Hershey’s pieces, and rim of mini marshmallows. It is topped with whipped cream and dark chocolate curls.

The Grasshopper, which is always a fan favorite, features mint chocolate chip ice cream, chocolate vodka, white creme de menthe, dark chocolate drizzle, mint chocolate ganache with a rim of tiny white and dark chocolate curls. In addition, this shake is topped with whipped cream, Andes mint pieces and a small brownie bite.

Another fan favorite, the Strawberry Shortcake, is more of a spin on an original classic.

This shake spotlights Oregon strawberry ice cream and Devils Den strawberry jam moonshine with a rim of fresh strawberries. It is topped with whipped cream, a strawberry shortcake ice cream bar, a buttermilk biscuit, and a caramelized strawberry.

Finally, of course, is our Carnival shake, which is meant to capture the feeling of attending a summer festival or fair.

The shake comprises Maine blueberry ice cream, 1911 tropical vodka, Monin cotton candy syrup, and a rim of salted popcorn. It is generously topped with whipped cream, a small slice of vanilla rainbow cake, cotton candy, and carnival sprinkles. We dare you to step right up and try to eat the whole thing in one sitting.
